Issue:
This petition of residents in Victoria draws to the attention of the Legislative Assembly that bushfire affected property owners continue to face council rates on properties destroyed or severely damaged in the January 2026 bushfires, placing unnecessary financial pressure on families rebuilding their lives.
Action:
The petitioners therefore request that the Legislative Assembly calls on the Government to provide three years of council rate relief for properties destroyed or severely damaged in the January 2026 bushfires.
