Received from the Legislative Assembly on 7 September 2017:

That, under s 33 of the Parliamentary Committees Act 2003, an inquiry into the efficacy of the Commonwealth Government’s National Broadband Network rollout on regional communities be referred to the Economic, Education, Jobs and Skills Committee for consideration and report and, in particular, the Committee should:

  1. investigate the implications of poor internet connectivity and speed on productivity and jobs growth in regional Victoria;
  2. report into regional digital connectivity and the consequences of not rolling out the NBN with fibre to the node; and
  3. identify gaps in regional service delivery.
