Inquiry into the Conduct of the 2018 Victorian State Election

What was the inquiry about?

This inquiry looked at the conduct of the 2018 Victorian election. The Committee considered people's views on how the election was conducted and suggestions on how things could be improved. Issues examined include enrolling, being a candidate and voting.

What is the inquiry up to now?

We have now tabled the final report for this inquiry.

What happens next?

The Government has six months to respond in writing to any recommendations we have made. The response is public and will be put on this website when it is received. In its response, the Government will indicate whether it supports the Committee’s recommendations. It can also outline actions it may take.
