Question on NoticeMs Ryan to ask the Minister for Public Transport — What is the total cost to the Government per annum to have a private event medical company operate at all stations in metro Melbourne, excluding Flinders Street Station.
- Answered: 15 August 2022
The Victorian Government does not have a contract with a private event medical company.
The metropolitan rail operator Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) has a contract with the Colmed Group to supply experienced and qualified First Aid personnel, to attend ill or injured passengers on the metropolitan rail network. Colmed staff are located at key stations across the network.
There is no additional cost to the Government for these services. The cost is included as part of the Franchise Sum paid to MTM monthly.
The Hon Ben Carroll MP
