The work of Parliament is supported by three departments.
Department of the Legislative Assembly, headed by the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, provides administrative and research support for the Lower House.
Department of the Legislative Council, headed by the Clerk of the Legislative Council, provides equivalent support for the Upper House.
The Department of Parliamentary Services headed by the Secretary of Department of Parliamentary Services, provides specialist services to all Members of Parliament, Electorate Officers, the two House Departments, Parliamentary Officers, and members of the public.
