Candlelight at dawn for Anzac Day
Personal tributes by candlelight replaced public gatherings for Anzac Day this year in the midst of the COVID-19 emergency.
Across Victoria people stood in their driveways and yards and on their balconies to pay tribute to the men and women who have served and sacrificed for our nation.
Legislative Council President Shaun Leane (pictured above) stood with a candle at the Parliament House steps at dawn in honour of the ANZACs.
Legislative Assembly Speaker Colin Brooks (pictured above) was joined by members of his family in the driveway of his home in the electorate of Bundoora, commemorating the many Victorians who have served and sacrificed.
We will remember them. Lest we forget.
