Explore a Melbourne icon this weekend

Open House MelbourneAs part of the Open House Melbourne program, Parliament House will open its doors to visitors this weekend.

The popular event provides a rare opportunity to explore this historic building, for those who may not be able to take part in one of our regular weekday tours.

Parliament House has much to offer history buffs and architectural enthusiasts alike, as well as those who are curious about the processes of our parliament.

Arguably one of the State’s most significant buildings, its highly-decorated interiors evoke the excitement of Victoria’s gold rush days, with symbols and motifs that embody our age-old Westminster system of democracy.

Tours will depart every 15 minutes, from 10 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July. For information about other buildings featured in the Open House program, visit openhousemelbourne.org.
