Speaker to Make Statement on Standing Order 30

The Speaker of the Parliament of Victoria, Judy Maddigan, will today make a statement on Standing Order 30.

Standing Order 30 is a rule which governs the operation of the Legislative Assembly Chamber, and which prohibits “strangers” from entering the Chamber whilst the Parliament is in session.

A “stranger” is anyone who is not an elected Member of Parliament or an official staff member of the House.

Speaker Maddigan will make a statement today, Wednesday March 12th, at 2pm at the back door of Parliament House.
