Premiers Certificates issued in 1995

SR 20/95 LOTTERIES GAMING AND BETTING (RAFFLES AND BINGO PERMITS) AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 1995

These were short term Regulations which were to expire 4 months after they were made (Regulation 8). They prescribed fees and forms for bingo, as well as duties of bingo employees.

SR 93/95 ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION (SCHEDULED PREMISES AND EXEMPTIONS) REGULATIONS 1995

These Regulations revoke SR 200/94 and remake Regulations in the same terms with a Premier's Certificate. The Explanatory Memorandum expresses the reason for this as follows:

"Because of the central role of these regulations in administering the Environment Protection Act 1970 it is essential to ensure that their legal status is beyond question.... By re-making the 1994 regulations with a Premier's exemption certificate under section 9 of the Subordinate Legislation Act 1994, the proposed Regulations will strengthen public confidence and the certainty of the system for industry."

SR 130/95 TOBACCO (SUPER BIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP) REGULATIONS

These Regulations permit tobacco advertising at the Super Bike World Championships at Phillip Island from 22 October, 1995 to 30 October, 1995.

SR 134/95 VEGETATION AND VINE DISEASES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS

These Regulations introduce procedures for preventing the introduction into Victoria of the papaya fruit fly. The Explanatory Certificate indicated that the Regulations were required as a matter of urgency.

SR 9/96 TOBACCO (AUSTRALIAN FORMULA ONE GRAND PRIX) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations prescribe limitations on the advertising of tobacco products.

SR 76/96 FIREARMS (PROHIBITED FIREARMS) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations result from the commitment of the Victorian Government to tighter gun control.

SR 103/96 PROFESSIONAL BOXING CONTROL REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations regulate professional boxing. Earlier Regulations had failed to extend the life of the previous Regulations.

SR 118/96 GAMING MACHINE CONTROL (RETURNS BY GAMING OPERATORS) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations set returns for gaming operators.

SR 135/96 COMPETITION POLICY (GAS SUPPLY CONTRACT EXEMPTION) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations exempt a gas contract from compliance with the Trade Practices Act of the Commonwealth and with the Competition Policy Code.

SR 152/96 FISHERIES (COMMERCIAL) (BREAM-GIPPSLAND LAKES) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations place temporary restrictions on commercial fishing for bream because of resource limits.

SR 154/96 FISHERIES (RECREATIONAL) (BREAM-GIPPSLAND LAKES) REGULATIONS 1996

These Regulations place temporary restrictions on catch limits for recreational fishers.
