Strachan; opened hotel in Melbourne; partnered Edward Wilson on land near Dandenong and in purchase of Argus 1847-1848; to Scotland Dec 1852, returning 1858; varied interests including part-management Argus; finally established Craiglie vineyard, Sunbury.;
