Condensed Milk Company Ltd, Dux Picture Company Ltd; director Bussell, Robson Pty Ltd, clothiers; chairman and founder Employers Fed. Insurance Company Ltd 1927; in later years owned model poultry-breeding farm, Frankston; president Vic. Free Trade Association 1898-1902; chairman canister makers section Chamber of Manufactures 1910-1917; president Vic. Employers Fed. 1920-1934. Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works commissioner 1896-1898; Nephew of John Francis Deegan (q.v.). South Melbourne city councillor 1895-1898
