Function of the Committee
The Outer Suburban/Interface Services Development Committee was one of three new Joint Investigatory Committees set up by the Parliamentary Committees and Parliamentary Salaries and Superannuation Acts (Amendment) Act 2003.
The Committee consists of five Members of Parliament, two drawn from the Legislative Council and three from the Legislative Assembly.
The functions of the Outer Suburban/Interface Services and Development Committee are to inquire into, consider and report to the Parliament on any proposal, matter or thing concerned with:
a.the provision of services to new urban regions;
b.the development or expansion of new urban regions.
