Today in the Legislative Council

The Council starts sitting at 9.30 a.m. and General Business takes precedence today. Business likely to be debated is:

(1) Notice of Motion No. 216 - relating to a Supreme Court proceeding under s 27 of the Ombudsman Act 1973;
(2) Notice of Motion No. 215 - requesting leave for the Minister for Public Transport to appear before a Council Committee;
(3) Notice of Motion No. 218 - relating to findings regarding Mr Cesar Melhem in the Royal Commission into Trade Union Governance and Corruption Final Report;
(4) Notice of Motion No. 219 - relating to the Government's Executive Privilege claim in response to an order for the production of documents; and 
(5) Order of the Day No. 1 - resumption of debate on motion relating to the Andrews Government first year in office.

Royal Commission into the best method of removing the sludge from the gold fields presented its final report to Parliament.
