Environment and Natural Resources
The Environment and Natural Resources Committee is a Joint Investigatory Committee of the Parliament of Victoria.
The Committee was established under the Parliamentary Committees Act 2003 and its members have been drawn from both the Legislative Assembly and the Legislative Council. In the 57th Parliament of Victoria, its members were appointed in the sitting week commencing Thursday 05 May 2011.

Inquiry into flood mitigation infrastructure in Victoria

Inquiry into establishment and effectiveness of Registered Aboriginal Parties
- Submissions to this inquiry closed on 21 December 2011.
- As at 25 January 2012 we have received 36 submissions to this inquiry.
- Submissions will be published on this website (under the Submissions tab) as soon as they have been formally accepted by the Committee. We expect this to occur in early February 2012.
- The first public hearing for this inquiry will be held in Melbourne on Monday 27 February 2012 (see Hearings and Transcript tab for details). Further hearings will be held throughout regional Victoria from March to May 2012 (see Hearings and Transcripts for updated information).
- The tabling date for this inquiry is 28 September 2012.
The Committee invites witnesses to speak at its public hearings. Most witnesses invited to speak at public hearings have made submissions to the Committee's inquiry, and are invited on that basis.
However, if you would like to speak to the Committee at one of its public hearings, you can make a request to the Committee by contacting the Committee Secretariat on (03) 8682 8202. Your request will then be considered by the Committee.
Please note, that while all efforts are made to accommodate potential witnesses, a limited number of places are available at each hearing.
