Inquiry
into the Utilisation of Victorian Native Flora and FaunaThe Terms of Reference for the Inquiry into the Utilisation of Victorian Native Flora and Fauna were published in the Victoria Government Gazette on 2 October 1997. The Committee commenced the inquiry in August 1998. A discussion paper was released in November 1998. Unfortunately the Committee was unable to complete the Inquiry prior to the dissolution of the Legislative Assembly in August 1999. Consequently the Terms of Reference lapsed. The Terms of Reference were re-issued to the Committee by Order in Council of 23 May 2000. The Report was tabled in Parliament on 2 June 2000 (Legislative Council) and 15 August 2000 (Legislative Assembly). The government response was tabled on the 27 March 2001.
