CHAPTER TEN MANAGEMENT OF INTRODUCED EXOTIC MARINE ORGANISMS IN VICTORIA

In Term of Reference (e) the Committee is asked to inquire into the efficiency and effectiveness of State based measures to minimise the environmental impact of ballast water. In Term of Reference (c) the Committee is asked to discuss the adequacy of Victorian and Commonwealth legislation to minimise the environmental impact of ballast water management. In this Chapter the Committee addresses these Terms of Reference simultaneously by focusing on the management of exotic organism once they have been introduced into Victorian waters.
