September 2009

On 2 September 2009, the Environment and Natural Resources Committee received terms of reference from the Legislative Assembly to inquire, consider and report on Soil Sequestration in Victoria no later than 31 August 2010.


July 2009

On 6 July 2009 the Committee held its first public hearing on the approvals process for renewable energy projects in Victoria. Evidence was received from:

  • Clean Energy Council
  • Northern Alliance for Greenhouse Action
  • Pacific Hydro
  • CitiPower and PowerCor Australia
  • Tract Consultants on behalf of Union Fenosa Wind Australia

The next scheduled public hearing will be held on 27 July 2009.


June 2009

On the 2 June 2009 the Environment and Natural Resources Committee tabled its report on Melbourne's Future Water Supply.
