Terms of Reference

The Terms of Reference were rescinded by Motion of the Legislative Assembly on 31 July 2008.

Terms of reference - received from the Legislative Assembly on 1 March 2007 - for inquiry, consideration and report no later than 31 July 2008 on the key competitive advantages underpinning the performance and growth in Victoria's financial services sector, particularly with regard to the sector's presence interstate, and recommend strategies to:

maintain this growth;
maximise employment opportunities from the sector's further expansion;
ensure the benefit of the sector's growth and operation are shared across the state; and
identify likely risks and impediments to the sector.
