The Economic Development and Infrastructure Committee has tabled the final report for the Inquiry. To download the report or view the media release, please go to the report page.
On 1 March 2007 the Committee received the Terms of Reference for the Inquiry into Mandatory Ethanol and Biofuels Targets in Victoria. The Committee announced its Call for Submissions, in which key stakeholders including businesses, industry and community groups, government organisations and agencies, and anyone with an interest in biofuels (principally ethanol and biodiesel) and alternative fuels was encouraged to make a submission to the Inquiry. Submissions to the Inquiry closed on Friday 3 August 2007.
The Committee has completed public hearings for this inquiry. The first public hearing was held on Tuesday 31 July, followed by public hearings on Monday 6 August, Monday 20 August 2007, and Monday 27 August 2007.
The Committee wishes to thank all of the people and organisations that contributed their time and knowledge to assist the Committee in its deliberations for this Inquiry.
