The Committee tabled its first report, "Combating Child Sexual Assault - An Integrated Model" in May 1995. The recommendations, 130 in number, may be found in Appendix 1 of this report.

The Parliamentary Drugs and Crime Prevention Committee was established at the commencement of the 53rd Parliament. At the first meeting of the 53rd Parliament, the Committee, under the Chairmanship of the Honourable Andrew Brideson M.L.C., resolved unanimously, that the current inquiry [sexual offences against adults] be continued until completion.
