Inquiry into Strategies to Prevent High Volume Offending by Young PeopleReceived from the Legislative Assembly on 1st March 2007 under section 33 of the Parliamentary Committees Act 2003.
To the Drugs and Crime Prevention Committee – for inquiry, consideration and report no later than 30 November 2009 on justice and crime strategies in high volume crimes such as theft and property related offences, which often involve young people – and the Committee is to recommend on:
causal factors that may influence patterns of high volume crime, with particular emphasis on repeat offences committed by young people; and
strategies that may effective in addressing the underlying causal factors or recidivist patterns of offending.
