Guide for Visitors to Question Time

Rules for Visitors in the Gallery

Summary

Visitors are always welcome in the public gallery. However, there are certain rules that apply.

Relevant rules

· Visitors must not interject, attempt to communicate with members, display notices or cause disturbance.

·

Eating, drinking and smoking in the gallery are not permitted.

·

Photography, filming and videoing of proceedings are not permitted.

·

Visitors should be appropriately dressed.

·

Visitors can take notes for personal use but should not publish the notes as they are not legally protected.  Hansard is the only official version of debates.
