If a member is disorderly in the House there are rules that assist the Chair to deal with this behaviour. One option is to order the member to leave the Chamber.

Standing Order 124. Where the Speaker or Deputy Speaker considers the conduct of a member to be disorderly, he/she may be ordered to leave the House for up to one and a half hours. This decision cannot be debated. |

If there is a division during that time the member may return to the House to vote. |

If the House adjourns before the end of the suspension period the remaining time will be carried forward to the next day. |

If a member does not leave the Chamber when asked, the Speaker can name the member. |
