Question Time is one of the few occasions when visitors see all Legislative Assembly members in the House at the one time.

Ministers. Ministers are expected to attend as they are being asked questions on the administration of their portfolios: |

If a minister is unable to attend the Premier will indicate which minister will answer questions on his/her behalf. |

If asked a question relating to the administration of a portfolio of a minister from the Legislative Council, a Legislative Assembly minister can answer the question on his/her behalf. |

The Speaker. The Speaker chairs question time. It can be very disorderly and noisy, with lots of points of order raised and interjections back and forward across the House. |
