Legislative Assembly

Summary

The Legislative Assembly is the seat of Government. The current Legislative Assembly, of the 55th Parliament, was elected in 2002 and first sat in 2003.

Legislative Assembly

1 Representation. The Legislative Assembly is the Lower House of the Victorian Parliament and consists of 88 members who represent 88 electorates.

Government. The current Government is headed by the Honourable John Brumby.

Opposition and third party. The Opposition consists of the largest group which does not support the Government. The Liberal Party and The Nationals, in coalition, currently hold that position.
