Annual Reports. 60 copies of reports are to be provided by the relevant agency before the report is tabled: 40 for the Legislative Assembly, 20 for the Legislative Council. Some TAFE colleges and hospitals only required to supply 20 copies in total to be split between the Assembly and Council. |

A letter signed by the Minister must be sent to the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly and the Clerk of the Legislative Council requesting tabling together with a copy of the document that is to be tabled. |

Tabling of the report will not take place until the required stock and relevant letter is received by the Assembly Procedure Office, Papers Section. |

Parliamentary Papers. Some departments/agencies have automatic approval for certain reports to have Parliamentary Paper status. For reports which do not have automatic approval written permission must be obtained by sending a letter of request and copy of the proposed report to the Speaker. Where approval is given the department/agency must pay all costs associated with printing and distribution of that report. |

A sessional number must be allocated to parliamentary papers. This can be obtained from the Assembly Procedure Office, Papers Section on (03) 9651 8563. That number must be on the title page of all copies of the report. |

There is certain text that needs to appear on the lower half of the title page of all copies of reports ordered to be printed. Telephone the above number prior to the printing of the reports for a sample of that text or select the link below for more detailed notes. |

Parliamentary papers must be A4 size and perfect bound. |
|

· |
Reports may be printed by any printer, subject to the internal audit procedure of departments and agencies. |

· |
Stock copies of the report are required before it can be tabled — usually 155 copies for the Legislative Assembly and 60 for the Legislative Council. |

A report cannot be tabled until all stock has been received. |
