The tabling of reports and other documents follows a specific procedure.
| 1 |
When. The tabling of reports and documents occurs during formal business at the beginning of each sitting day. |
| 2 |
How. The Clerk of the Legislative Assembly reads a list of the documents and reports that are to be tabled for that day. If the list of documents is too long to read it is distributed in the House. Once tabled they become available to the public. |
| 3 |
What takes precedence. Petitions, Committee reports, reports tabled by leave of the House and command reports take precedence, followed by documents that are tabled under Acts of Parliament and proclamations. |
| 4 | Statements of Compatibility. A statement is tabled by the member who introduced the bill when the member makes the second reading speech.
