The Secretary of the Committee will liaise with the applicant about drafting a response. The applicant must comply with guidelines in drafting a response.
The general guidelines are:
|
1 |
Length of response. Normally one to three pages is appropriate, depending on how complex the issues are. |
|
2 |
Language used. The draft must be in moderate and appropriate language. Allowance will be made for applicants unfamiliar with parliamentary language. |
|
3 |
Appendices. It is not appropriate to attach appendices to a response. |
|
4 |
Availability of a response. After a response is ordered to be printed or incorporated into Hansard, it can be viewed on Parliament's website or obtained from the Procedure Office. |
